Operation
Pressure applied to the P499 transducer acts on a
piezoresistive strain gauge, which is bonded with hightemperature glass onto a stainless steel diaphragm.
The strain gauge translates media pressure into an electrical signal. An Application-Specific Integrated
Circuit (ASIC) conditions and amplifies the signal. The output signal varies in direct linear proportion to the
sensed pressure
